2008 Kansas Immunization Conference
September 2-4, 2008 • Wichita, Kansas

Join us for the 2008 Kansas Immunization Conference - "Vaccinations for Life" at the Hyatt Regency in Wichita, Kansas. The goal of the conference is to educate health care professionals on the importance of continuing immunizations from birth through adulthood, and safe-guarding the immunization records for a lifetime through a state-wide Registry.

The Kansas Diabetes Prevention and Control Program at KDHE in partnership with the Kansas Diabetes Advisory Council, has just released the first published Kansas Diabetes Plan. The Plan outlines a comprehensive approach for reducing the burden of diabetes in Kansas. The Plan is available for online viewing.

KDHE is providing a free, easy-to-use sample kit to any person or organization willing to test, register and record a minimum of 10 sample sites during WWMD month!

Salmonella Outbreak FDA is advising consumers to avoid consuming raw jalapeño peppers and raw serrano peppers from Mexico and to avoid food products that contain either type of pepper. Domestically grown raw jalapeno and serrano peppers are not associated with the current Salmonella Saintpaul outbreak.
