Deputy County Appraiser for Butler County

The Butler County Appraisers Office is searching for a highly motivated individual to fill the position of Deputy County Appraiser. Key responsibilities include supervising and leading staff of eighteen along with the coordination of all facets of listing, discovering, and appraising real and personal property for ad valorem tax purposes. Thorough knowledge of the KSCAMA system a must. Individual must have considerable knowledge of Kansas statutes and Property Valuation Division guidelines governing mass appraisal.

 

Minimum of six years experience in real estate appraisal with three years experience in KSCAMA operations is required. At least three years of supervisory experience. Individual is expected to have or acquire within twelve months of employment, the designation of Registered Mass Appraiser or equivalent, and be qualified in all respects to be a County Appraiser.

A high school diploma or GED required. Must possess valid Kansas drivers license. Pre-employment testing required. E.O.E.

 

Salary range: $43,686 - $58,977 yearly

The Johnson County Commercial Real Estate Division is seeking qualified applicants for the following position:

 

Manager of Commercial Real Estate Valuation Grade 19

Position # 10065

Position Summary: The Manager of Commercial Real Estate Valuations directs the commercial real estate valuation process which includes:

Developing and implementing strategic plans for the division; ensuring that commercial real estate valuations are completed accurately and on schedule; leading the development of litigation case strategies during the appeals process; staff training and development; and managing all outside fee appraisal contracts.

Qualifications: four-year college degree from an accredited institution.  Completion of a minimum of 165 hours in appraisal studies including, IAAO courses 101 and 102, 112, (two) series 300 courses, 510 and Professional Ethics & Standards or equivalent.  This position requires five years of commercial real estate valuation with proficiency in the appraisal of all major commercial property types. Three years demonstrated supervisory experience in a medium to large size environment, preferably public sector.  Incumbent must also be proficient in word processing, spreadsheets and database applications.  General Real Estate Appraiser Certification and/or Certified Assessment Evaluator preferred.

Kiowa County Appraiser

Kiowa County is requesting applicants for the position of County Appraiser. Responsibilities are administrative and supervisory work in appraisers office, be responsible for annual valuation of all real and personal property, as well as field inspections, data collection, index/depreciation studies; valuation hearings; annual maintenance reports. CAE, RES, RMA or general certification from Kansas Real Estate Appraisal board is required along with high school diploma or equivalent. Montgomery County Appraiser
Montgomery County has a position opening for a County Appraiser. Job responsibilities include administrative and supervisory work in the Appraisers Office as well as the annual valuation of all real and personal property within the County. Strong leadership, interpersonal, communications, planning and decision-making skills are necessary, as well as fiscal management experience. Requirements include a bachelors degree or equivalent combinations of education and experience. CAE, RES, RMA or General Certification from the Kansas Real Estate Appraisal Board is required as well as three (3) years of appraisal experience including experience in the mass appraisal of real property. Applicants must be qualified by the Director of Property Valuation as an eligible County Appraiser and meet all Kansas Statutory requirement. Drug testing is required. Salary based on experience.
